What is the most important aspect of high-precision ADC? In addition to having a high resolution, a high-quality
voltage reference is essential. On this board, ADI's ADR03 is selected as the voltage reference. The characteristics
of ADR03 are as follows:
A temperature coefficient less than 3ppm/℃ determines the impact of temperature changes on ADC data acquisition.
1. 3ppm/℃ means that each degree of change can cause a 3% change in the voltage reference, so having a high-quality
voltage reference is so important!
2. Initialization accuracy less than ± 0.1% refers to the error between the output voltage value and the reference value,
which determines the consistency of a batch of products.
3. Noise below 10uVp-p, as well as noise from the voltage reference output, can directly affect the accuracy of the ADC.
Generally, noise is within the range of 0.1Hz to 10Hz. Adding a low-pass filter between 0.1-10Hz can effectively
reduce low-frequency noise.
