The W5100 is a versatile single-chip network interface device featuring an integrated 10/100 Ethernet controller.
It is primarily designed for high-integration, high-stability, high-performance, and low-cost embedded systems.
The W5100 enables Internet connectivity without requiring an operating system. It is compatible with IEEE 802.3
10BASE-T and 802.3u 100BASE-TX standards. The W5100 incorporates a fully hardware-based, market-proven
TCP/IP protocol stack, Ethernet Media Access Control (MAC) layer, and Physical (PHY) layer. Using the W5100
eliminates the need to manage Ethernet controls, requiring only simple socket programming.
